Ice cream at Derwen College

Two new home-made products on sale at Derwen College this weekend. In Young’s Farm Shop we have lemon curd and in the Garden Centre, ice cream in nine different flavours.

 

Both produced using natural ingredients in the Bradbury food centre.

Silver Lunch at the Talbot

Message from Colin Case.

Just to clarify, as well as the menu published there is always the option of a Vegetarian Meal at the Talbot.
Yesterday would have offered the choice of a pasta dish or a mushroom omelette, for example.

And just to clarify the Curry Night on a Wednesday - the price includes a drink - I had a pint of Joules Pale as usual with a super chicken curry - excellent.
And if you are not keen on curry remember the usual menu is also available at normal menu prices.

Easter Egg Trail - This Sunday

 

The "Friends" of West Felton CE Primary School are holding an Easter Egg Trail this Sunday (6th)

 

This family event starts from Pradoe Church, Nr West Felton from 11.30am and the last map will be sold at 3pm.

 

Come and buy a map/clue sheet for £2 each and follow the clues, which will be dotted around the woodland grounds 

of the beautiful Pradoe Estate, to help you solve the quiz.  

 

Return your completed map/clue sheet to Pradoe Church and you'll receive an easter egg.  

All correct answers go into a hat and the winner will receive a prize.  

 

Plus we'll be holding an Easter Bonnet Competition with the first prize being a £5 gift voucher from Molly's sweet shop.

 

Raffle, lucky dip, tea and cakes and refreshments

 

If it's wet bring wellies and if it's hot bring a deck chair - dogs on leads are also welcome.

 

Come and enjoy the wonderful views of Shropshire from Pradoe whilst raising money for West Felton CE Primary school.

London Marathon for Asthma UK

I have been lucky enough to secure a place in this year's London Marathon on 13th April running for the charity Asthma UK. Now that my injury is more stable, I need to focus on fundraising to meet my target of £1700. 

I would really appreciate it if you could circulate this email to the parish email circulation list and if anyone could sponsor me and help spur me on I would be very grateful.

I am training hard with runs, swimming and cycling having worked through several injures, but I am determined to finish the marathon on the day and raise the money for this very worthwhile cause. I have given some further detail on my quest below.

Running the London Marathon has always been a dream of mine. Being Asthmatic myself my journey to marathon fitness is a steady one but I know I will complete the course as I ran the Dublin Marathon in 2011.
