In fact, although Parry Thomas was born in Wrexham, he spent most of his childhood and was educated in Oswestry.

This car broke the land speed record in April 1926 (171 mph). The driver/owner (John Parry-Thomas) was born in Wrexham, he was the sun of the curate of Rhosddu.

BABS has a 12 cylinder 27 litre engine (a liberty engine!) - it is chain driven. an interesting piece of engineering!

This is an event to take your children and grandchildren to see - there is quite a story about the amazing discovery and restoration of BABS

Snowdrops and primroses

Hi everyone,

Would anyone out there like snowdrop bulbs or primrose plants?   Both are becoming a weed in this garden!

However, you must email and let me know when you want to pick them up as we are in and out and down the garden (54 steps to the bottom) every day.

A donation to the NGS would be welcome but best of all - come and visit Brownhill House Gardens.
    Tuesday 26th April
    Tuesday 31st May
    Tuesday 21st June

As you know, parking on the Brownhill is such a problem so if you could come on your feet or a bicycle that would be great

Or, we are open by arrangement from the end of April until the end of July, for one person or a busload - just drop us an email to arrange a day and a time.

See you soon,

Yoland
