Sh.C.C. `Arm`s Length Management Organisation`

What do you think of Shropshire Council's proposal to "out-source" management of our Council Homes to an ALMO?
PS Consultants have been appointed as the Independent Tenant Advisor (ITA) by Shropshire Council with the involvement of some tenant representatives and they would like to talk to us about the Council's ALMO Proposal.

A Public Meetings is arranged for Friday 7th September in the Victoria Room between 3pm and 5pm
- why not drop in and learn more?

Come along and find out what it's all about - especially if you or a relative live in one of our 27 Council Homes in the Parish.

An ALMO is an "Arm's Length Management Organisation", paid by the Council to manage Council Properties on their behalf. The homes do NOT change ownership - they remain owned by the Council. But all repairs, rent-collection and other activities will be managed by the ALMO. Existing Landlord Services Council Staff will be employed by the new organisation.

You can find out more from the PS Consulting web site :- http://www.psconsultants.org.uk/shrop/shrop01.aspx

And if you can't make the meeting on 7th September you can email Christine Bailey of PS Consulting with your views - chrisannebailey@psconsultants.org.uk
