The next round of funding will be awarded at the committee’s next meeting on 8th November at Oswestry Rugby Club, Park Hall, Whittington.

Applications must be received by 28th of September in order to be considered at this meeting. Groups within the Local Joint Committee area are invited to apply.

Councillor Aggie Caesar- Homden, Chairman of the Five Perry Parishes Local Joint Committee (LJC),said: "These meetings are a great opportunity for us to get together with our communities, to hear about new groups and activities and to better understand the priorities for our residents. By working closely with our communities it allows us the chance to use our allocated budget to benefit local people, clubs, organisations and voluntary groups. The meetings also provide a forum for us to hear people's views and listen to any concerns that residents may have. At the previous meeting we were able to support a wide range of activities and projects and to hear updates from those applicants who have previously been awarded grants. We also received a presentation about the SamDev (Site Allocations Management and Development consultation) where Parish Councillors and residents were provided with a comprehensive update on the consultation so far, how residents can become involved and have their views heard and we were given the opportunity to have questions. We hope that the local community will continue to attend and exchange views with councillors on priorities that are most important to them. We are looking to support a mixture of larger, smaller and new projects during this year. ”
