BABS is coming to Wrexham

Message forwarded by Arfon Hughes from
Wrexham County Borough Museum & Archives, County Buildings, Regent Street, Wrexham LL11 1RB

In fact, although Parry Thomas was born in Wrexham, he spent most of his childhood and was educated in Oswestry.

This car broke the land speed record in April 1926 (171 mph). The driver/owner (John Parry-Thomas) was born in Wrexham, he was the sun of the curate of Rhosddu.

BABS has a 12 cylinder 27 litre engine (a liberty engine!) - it is chain driven. an interesting piece of engineering!

This is an event to take your children and grandchildren to see - there is quite a story about the amazing discovery and restoration of BABS
