Campaign to Protect Rural England

Message forwarded by John and Ros Slowly, Ruyton.

Dear Friends,

Our Shropshire Countryside under Threat!

I have pleasure in attaching details of a joint evening CPRE Shropshire is hosting with the Shropshire Wildlife Trust on Thursday 3rd April in Shrewsbury.

At CPRE’s National AGM last year, our President, Sir Andrew Motion, said: “I am not exaggerating when I say that our countryside is in greater danger than it has ever been in my lifetime”.

Do come and find out about the real threats to our Shropshire countryside and please pass details of this open event to as many Council members and parishioners as you can.

A number of Shropshire Parish Councils are members of CPRE. At this very crucial time for planning in the Shropshire countryside we would like a higher Parish Councils membership working alongside us. I hope you will send a representative to this event and think about joining us.

We very much look forward to seeing you there.
Yours sincerely,
Sarah Bury
Chair, CPRE Shropshire
