Enterprise is alive and well in Shrewsbury as traders open in shopping centre
Enterprise is alive and well in Shrewsbury with the opening of yet another independent business in the town’s busy shopping centres – that makes eight in the past three months with the creation of more than 20 jobs.
The town now has a new fruit and vegetable shop, Cherries, on the lower level of the Darwin Centre - just right for carrying heavy fruit and veg back to the car. Shaun Cherrington is one of a string of new arrivals at the Darwin and Pride Hill Centres.
The new businesses in Pride Hill and Darwin Centre, include two tailors as well as shops selling musical instruments (Golden Guitars), a soap and toiletries store (Chikpe), a café (Alleyna’s), a mobile phone accessories and repairs shop (Credible Accessories), children’s clothing (Flutterbies) and electric cigarettes (Vapes).
Owners of the shopping centres want to nurture new business and encourage entrepreneurship and so we have out together some very attractive packages aimed at getting new tenants started. They would be delighted to talk to people who are interested in setting up a new business.
