Canal and rivers Trust with the Meres and Mosses LPS are looking for some volunteers to help with some hedge planting at Wrenbury, gapping up 100m of hedge and in some areas re-instating lost hedgerow.
Proposed date for planting is Tuesday 25th March from 10am to 3pm latest with volunteers.
CRT will provide all materials and tools and undertake the task using our risk management documentation.

I am contacting you further to your meeting with Tom Hayek (Meres & Mosses Programme Manager) earlier this week.
I know that there was some discussion about projects for delivery this financial year, with the main suggestion coming forward being some gapping up of hedges, for which you have the volunteer manpower, but not the funds to buy the plants. I am weighing up a number of potential projects at the moment, so cannot make any promises, but to allow me to make an informed decision, would you be able to send me details of what you might require. This should include the length of planting required, the number of plants you think you need (ideally with an associated cost), plus a map showing where it is required.
