Survey – very important!

 LEADER is a rural economic development Programme, part of the England Rural Development Programme, managed by DEFRA.

Work has now started in Shropshire and Telford to identify the needs in the area and we hope you can spare a short time to complete our survey. 

 This time around, LEADER has an economic focus and can provide grant support projects within the following areas

·         increasing farm productivity

·         micro and small enterprises and farm diversification

·         rural tourism

·         provision of rural services

·         cultural and heritage activity

·         increasing forestry productivity

The survey is sent out on behalf of Shropshire Hills LEADER, Shropshire Marches LEADER and The Intelligence Foundation. 

 

Could I ask you to forward this to your networks and encourage rural businesses, communities and/or individuals to complete it?  It will help influence the strategy and add to our development work.  Responses are really important!  We’re hoping to get the survey out very widely so there may be some cross postings!
