Just received this additional Planning Application for Monday's Parish Council meeting at 7:30 in the Victoria Room.
Parishioners will recognise that there are now quite a few applications on our agenda.
This is not at all unusual at this time of year.
For whatever reason, coincidence or not, applications seem to flood in during July/August and again in late December (after the December Parish Council Meeting but before the Christmas and New Year holidays)
This is common throughout the County - and probably throughout UK.
Anyone more cynical than I might conclude it is an attempt by applicants or their agents to avoid close scrutiny of the application by Parish Councillors, perhaps hoping they are on holiday.
I don't take this view - I just respond to the profile pragmatically by scheduling Meetings to accommodate the "surge" - we know it's coming - it does every year.
Anyway, this is the application. Come along on Monday to express a view if you want, but remember, the Parish Council is only a "consultee". Whatever our decision it is important that you also record your views, for or against, on the Planning Portal Web Site.
