Qube Open Art Exhibition now on show: We need your votes!

Qube’s most popular annual event has attracted a record number of entries this year. The work of over 40 artists will be on display at the Qube Open Art Exhibition running from 11th September to 3rd November at Qube Gallery.

The theme for the competition this year is ‘Journey’ and artists have interpreted this theme through a number of mediums including acrylic, textiles, bronze, collage and photography to name a few. Visitors to the gallery will have their chance to vote for their favourite piece in the People’s Choice Prize, voting takes place from 11th to 19th September. A Best in Show piece has also been selected by the Qube Arts Judging panel and winners of both categories will be announced at the prize giving evening on Friday 19th September, from 7pm where all are welcome.

We are really excited about the quality of work that has been submitted for this competition. There is a good mix of mediums and some very different interpretations of the theme. We encourage visitors to come along to take a look around and get involved by voting for their favourite piece in the gallery.

Qube Open Art Competition has once again attracted a wide body of work from artists across the region and from as far as London and Edinburgh. This year we even have some inter-family rivalry with two lots of fathers and sons competing against each other for the overall prize.

Free entry!
