Some of Shropshire's loveliest gardens will be opening their gates to visitors in early June as part of the National Garden Scheme - and what better time to open them than June, when the wonderful colours and scents of a garden are at their best.
The National Garden Scheme raises money for nursing and caring charities, including Macmillan, Marie Curie, Hospices UK, Parkinson's UK and many others: a full list of the NGS beneficiaries can be found at:

Friday 8th June & Saturday 9th June (1-6pm): Ruthall Manor, Ditton Priors, nr Bridgnorth, WV16 6TN: a beautiful garden to visit in June with its colourful, plant-packed borders and lovely trees plus a stunning pond full of primulas with a whole spectrum of colours: https://www.ngs.org.uk/find-a-garden/garden/7763/
Sunday 10th June (11-5pm): Delbury Hall Walled Garden, Mill Lane, Diddlebury, Craven Arms, SY7 9DH: A 2 acre early Victorian walled garden & nursery with large colourful borders, herb garden & very old fruit trees await visitors to this fascinating place; also walks around the gardens of Delbury Hall: https://www.ngs.org.uk/find-a-garden/garden/25348/
Sunday 10th June (12-5pm): Hodnet Hall Gardens, Hodnet, Market Drayton, TF9 3NN: the magnificent 60 acre landscaped garden at Hodnet opens for a special NGS day allowing visitors to see huge varieties of planting including the lakes, streams and waterfalls and the superb walled garden: https://www.ngs.org.uk/find-a-garden/garden/2341/
Sunday 10th June (2-5pm): Morville Hall Gardens, Morville, Bridgnorth, WV16 5NB: Six delightful gardens at the historical Morville Hall estate will be opening, giving visitors the opportunity to see a range of planting styles and a horticultural history book with many features, from many eras - one not to be missed; https://www.ngs.org.uk/find-a-garden/garden/8694/
