Work in progress
Comb-back Windsor chair nearing completion in ROBERT SHELTON's workshop. Among
the classics of English country furniture, in the past Windsor chairs were made by local craftsmen to traditional designs in native woods like elm, ash, beech and yew. Here the seat and comb (top piece) are in elm; the rest is ash. See this and other examples of Robert's craft at the Willow Gallery this July/August.
If you wish to commission a chair, please see Robert's website for contact details.

Tree-carved platter in chestnut
by JOHN MORGAN

A woodturner for many years, John chooses timbers with interesting and unusual characteristics such as burrs, irregularly-shaped pieces or highly-figured wood. Platters, bowls, jugs and other elegantly hand-turned pieces are on sale at the Willow Gallery Shop and make unique housewarming gifts.
ABOUT US
Centrally-located in Oswestry, the former car showroom is an artist-led, not-for-profit gallery space dedicated to the community. Open all year, the Gallery displays ever-changing exhibitions where you can seek out and buy original artworks - paintings, sculpture, ceramics, textile art, jewellery, glassware, photographic works and more. Also meet our talented artists-in-residence and talk to them about their work.

Other regular events include live music, workshops, talks and craft fairs. In the Gallery Shop, we stock a range of prints, greetings cards and artisan wares, including jewellery, glass, woodcraft and ceramics. Our on-site Eatery is a relaxing spot for fresh and quality food and drinks - and there are always daily specials.

Gift vouchers and other gift ideas
Gift vouchers can be bought for any amount and be redeemed in both the Gallery and the Shop. Booking a place for a friend on one of our artist-run workshops can also make an original and rewarding gift - or treat a music-loving friend or family member to a ticket for one of our live music events.

Gift vouchers are also available for the Willow Eatery and a lovely way to make someone's day.

Hire our spacious Dunbabin Room
Accommodating up to 50 people, it has been tried and tested for everything from workshops and courses to dance and yoga sessions.
