Verbena bonariensis

I sent out the message below at 9.46 last night - when someone called this morning at 8am not only the Verbenas in their dairy box but also the sign I put out had GONE!

Please tell me someone had taken them to plant and not that some layabout had been an overnight pain in the bum??

I was able to dig up some more for the lady this morning.

I have put a tray of Verbena bonariensis plants outside Brownhill House - please help yourself.

I understand there is a plan to prettify spare corners of land in Ruyton so why not plant some of these lovely sturdy plants.  They seed themselves but who cares, lets have them all up Holden Lane to  Shotatton!   There are more if you need them.

Tall, 4 - 5ft, narrow, very sturdy plants which flower all summer above other plants, purple flowers. Any well drained soil in sun or part shade.  Survive a mild winter but also self seeds in a restrained sort of way - not invasive!

PLEASE HELP YOURSELF!
