An old favourite garden and village gardens open for the National Garden Scheme An old favourite garden & village gardens open for the National Garden Scheme Gardens galore open this weekend for the National Garden Scheme in Shropshire, raising money for cancer and nursing charities including Macmillan, Marie Curie, Hospices UK and many other important causes. One of Shropshire's favourite gardens - Preen Manor - returns to the National Garden Scheme, still as beautiful as ever, plus gardens in the village of Stottesdon will be opening their gates in aid of the charity: Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th June (11-5pm on both days), Stottesdon & District Gardens: Stottesdon, nr Kidderminster, DY14 8TZ; Up to 15 gardens will be open in this unspoilt corner of Shropshire near the Clee Hills; gardens large and small, traditional and modern, cottage style and formal; plus refreshments in the garden of the old Fox & Hounds Pub.
