The best of the BRITISH HILLCLIMB CHAMPIONSHIPS at Loton Park
This Saturday and Sunday, 9th & 10th June
This weekend at Loton Park we are hosting the MSA British and Leaders Championships plus the Midland series for which promises to be a weekend showcasing the very best of UK hillclimbing including the two Top 12 runoffs for the fastest competitors competing to ultimately become British Hill Climb Champion.
Current British champion Trevor Willis only has a one point advantage over Will Hall after ten rounds with Wallace Menzies in third whilst in the class based 'Leaders' series the 1600cc GWR racing car of Les Mutch is leading the table from Andy Griffiths' Caterham and the road-going Renault Clio of Richard Brant. The Midland Hill Climb Championship also uses a class based scoring system to decide the overall champion with Andy Griffiths leading the series after eight rounds from Richard Brant and reigning champion Mike Turpin equal third with Robert Kenrick in the sensational 1000cc. GWR Raptor.
With the best drivers and cars from across the UK entered and Zach Zammit again travelling from Malta, competition will be fierce in all the classes with a full entry of saloons, sports, classic and racing cars plus we also have the Porsche Club Speed Championship who have their competition rounds on both days.
Practice will start on Saturday at 9.00am but on Sunday there is an early service in the local church, so our action starts at 9.15am. A full commentary, catering and toilet facilities are available on site for an entry fee of £12.50 per adult, although under 16s are free.
