TAKING STEPS TO SUPPORT DERWEN COLLEGE CHARITY

Join walkers, runners, and fancy dress fundraisers at Derwen College sponsored walk and fun run on Sunday, 5th April.

The college, near Oswestry, in Shropshire, is holding its 52nd sponsored walk and fun run, which takes a 10k circular route around Gobowen countryside (with a shorter 6k option for walkers).  The event starts at 11am on Sunday 5th April 2020.

This year, organisers are encouraging participants to add to the fun atmosphere by donning fancy dress, and are offering prizes for the best costumes. However, itÆs the taking part that counts û fancy dress is not compulsory, just a bit of fun.

All participants receive a free home-made soup and tea or coffee.

Minimum sponsorship/donation for the walk is ú20 and under 12s are free to enter. Money raised from the event will be used to provide students with the extra experiences, facilities and equipment they need to progress whilst at college. Money raised from the event will also go towards the collegeÆs ú1million appeal to modernise the Agnes Hunt Village - a unique housing complex which enables residential students to learn independent living skills.

If you have any questions or would like to volunteer as a marshal, please contact fundraiser Anna Evans on 01691 661234 ext 395 or email anna.evans@derwen.ac.uk. Visit https://www.derwen.ac.uk/sponsored-walk-information/ for information and registration.
