Casual vacancy update for the Parish Council
The Parish Council is very pleased to announce that it has voted to co-opt Tamarin Bibow to the Council at its meeting on October 11th. Tamarin takes the seat left vacant following the resignation of Cllr Andrew Collier, and we are very happy to welcome her aboard, and look forward to working with her.
However, we are sad to announce that Cllr Simon Gittins has decided to resign from the Parish Council, after many years of supporting the Council and local community. We are very sad to lose him as a councillor but wish him all the very best for the future.
This means there is still one vacancy on the Parish Council. Local electors can request an election to fill this vacant seat up until 2nd November 2022. More information on how to do this can be found on the attached Casual Vacancy notice. If no election is called within the fourteen day period, then the Parish Council will be able to co-opt to fill the vacant seat.
