Harvest Time

Harvest Events

It's a wonderful time to enjoy the local harvest and wander through fields and orchards.

One of Autumn's highlights is to pick your own pumpkin at one of Shropshire's largest pumpkin farms at Llynclys Hall Farm. You will find all shapes and sizes and lots of family fun. Starts 8th October.

Apple Day is also on Saturday 8th October. Held in the heart of Oswestry's street market, this annual event celebrates all things 'apple' with produce from local orchards.

Spooky Fun

Spooky Halloween Fun

Park Hall Countryside Experience is holding a Pumpkinfest on the 14th to 16th October and during half term week - 21/09 to 02/11. There'll be pumpkin carving, singing pumpkins, pumpkin alley, The Little Scare House & The Witches Cavern, as well as their normal farmyard fun!

Hawkstone Park Follies has a 'Trails & Terrible Tales' adventure during half- term. Meet live characters and follow a family-friendly trail through this magical woodland landscape with cliffs, crags, caves and stunning views.

Blackhawk Laser Games offers something a little different and has two Halloween events. 'Hocus Pocus' is a fun trail for all the family and Haunted Heist is suitable for 16+ and you will be helped (or hindered!) by Halloween characters while solving the puzzles - eek!!

The National Trust are offering one free visit to their properties this Autumn and we have three properties to choose from - all within a 30 minute drive from Oswestry.  Chirk Castle, Powis Castle and Erddig Hall. Where will your Autumn escape take you?
