Reminder 16th October Volunteers needed on the Cliffe

New message from Lydia Bardsley, Ruyton XI Towns Parish Clerk.

RUYTON XI TOWNS PARISH COUNCIL
NEWSLETTER UPDATE

Volunteers needed for Cliffe harrowing (various dates starting 16th Oct)

The Parish Council and Shropshire Countryside rangers are looking for some volunteers to help with harrowing on the Cliffe on the following weekend dates:

Sunday 16th Oct – Harrowing and raking bracken

Saturday 22nd Oct – Load charcoal kiln, harrowing and raking

Sunday 23rd Oct – Empty kiln, harrowing and raking

Meeting at the unofficial car park at the Hopton end of the Cliffe, starting from 10am but volunteers can come and go as they need. Work gloves would be useful but not necessary. The rangers will be bringing rakes, but volunteers can also bring their own if they wish. If anyone is interested in helping out, please drop the Clerk an email, or leave a voicemail on 01691 674742 (just so we have an idea of potential numbers for each day).

The weekends are the dates we would most appreciate volunteers, but there will also be things to help with on Monday 17th, Tuesday 18th, and Friday 21st.

Thank you in advance everyone.
