Having had a tour of the Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings I am now on their mailing list for coming events. Here is the first message since the opening to the public at the beginning of September.
If you have any interest in local history, do please visit this latest Shrewsbury tourist attraction. It is surprising how involved our local town was with the advances of the Industrial Revolution.
Remember, you can get on the Park and Ride from Harlescott and drop off and then pick up from the Flaxmill Maltings - every 20 minutes.
Free family activities this October half term Join the Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings cats Flax and Barley for daily cat-tastic family activities this half term including:
• Stories and performance from the time-travelling cats • Family trail • Different arts and crafts each day
You can also take part in the 'Skyscraper Challenge'. Try your luck creating the tallest tower and be in with the chance of winning a family ticket.
Activities are suggested for children aged 3-9, but there's still lots to do for families with older or younger children who can watch the performing cats, take part in the family trail or visit The Mill exhibition.
Saturday 22 to Sunday 30 October, between 11am and 4pm each day.
No booking required. |
