We like to think so! For two days Oswestry's town centre is transformed into a foodie market. It's a family friendly, free event - enjoy street food at its best, discover our independent shops, enjoy the cafe culture and don't miss a visit to one of our friendly pubs. | | | Don't miss market days in Oswestry. Enjoy traditional street markets every Wednesday and Friday. The indoor market is open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and is has an eclectic mix of stalls - there is even a cocktail bar! Come along on the last Friday of the month to our artisans market and late night opening with music. | | | Enjoy some traditional treats in Oswestry and The Borderlands | | Trains, beer and fish and chips! There's nothing quite like a train ride on a heritage railway unless you add an extra special something - how about a ride to a brewery or a fish and chip special? Come and enjoy the special events at Cambrian Heritage Railway and Welshpool and Llanfair Railway. | | | | Come along to Cambrian Railway's beer festival and taste beers from breweries along the old Cambrian railway line. June 2nd,3rd & 4th | | Welshpool and Llanfair Railway beer festival is two days of trains, beer and live music in July. 22nd and 23rd July | | Llangollen Wharf Spend a summer evening on a horse down boat gliding along from Llangollen to the Horseshoe falls. Enjoy a snack grazing box with a glass of Prosecco, wine or beer. 10th June, 6th July and 5th August. | | | A distillery, a brewery, a patisserie and a vineyard | | The flavours of Oswestry can be surprising. Meet our award winners! Henstone has been voted Gin Distillery of the year. Stonehouse brewery is multi award winning for their beers and cider. Meet Adam at our delicious patisserie, he is a professional master chef finalist and Colemere Vineyard is celebrating their Lapwing wine winning a bronze in the International Wine Challenge. | | | | Henstone Distillery - Gin distillery of the year 2023 for The Gin Guide. Don't miss them at Oswestry Food and Drink Festival. Distillery tours on 1July, 12 Aug and 23 September. | | Stonehouse Brewery at Weston Wharf. Enjoy barbecue food and sample their award winning ales and cider. You can even travel there by heritage train from Oswestry Station to Weston Wharf. | | | Niche Patisserie is settled in one of Oswestry's most iconic buildings. Book ahead if you want to enjoy one of their famous afternoon teas. | | Colemere Vineyard is set in Shropshire's Lakeland at nearby Colemere, one of nine lakes or meres a few minutes from Oswestry. Tour and tasting July 22nd. | | Visit Welshpool on June 3rd for a traditional afternoon tea party.
