Oslympics Quiz

An update on some of the events at the Oslympics from Susie Hancock.


The Oslympics Quiz (see below) may be of general interest to members of your circulation list?  I would be grateful if you would pass it on.
 
Thank you for your help with inviting people to become members of our Oswestry Games Community Choir – we have over 40 members in the choir, who will be performing the Oswestry Games Anthem with the full Porthywaen Silver Band at the free Family Fun Day on Sunday, 15th July.  Everyone is welcome to come along to Oswestry Leisure Centre where there will be all sorts of new activities to try (or watch).  Dave Moorcroft, the world record breaking athlete, will be our guest speaker!
 
If anyone would like to try the Oslympics 10k or 2,012 metre Fun Run, the entry forms are on www.oswestrygames.co.uk.
 
We now have over 50 different events going on in Oswestry for the week of the Oslympics, including sports, arts and music.  There is even an open Boccia competition – for all levels of ability!  Full programmes are available from Oswestry Library, Leisure Centre or Mile End Tourist Office.
 
If anyone is in Oswestry on Saturday afternoon (30th) please wave to Olly M and our parade of sports clubs, starting from Cae Glas Park at 2.30 pm.

Dear all,
Oswestry Cricket Club will be hosting an "Olympic themed" Quiz on Friday 13th July 2012 starting at 7.30. We would like to invite all Clubs and organisations to enter a team (or more) of 4, at a cost of just £5 per team. This fee will help to cover the cost of the mid break food.
It promises to be a great evening of fun, with Radio Shropshire's James Bond as our guest quizmaster. It is also an opportunity for those members of your club, who maybe do a lot of work behind the scenes, to win an Oswestry Games medal.
We have managed to secure Stonehouse Brewery as our sponsor for the event.
I would be grateful if you could reply by Monday 9th July in order to guage numbers for the catering.
