Message from Ali Slater, Baschurch Village Hall.
Please can you all spread the word that due to illness Carol Leeden will be unable to continue with her job as letting secretary for Baschurch Village Hall at the present time, so please contact me on 01939 261465 for any enquiries or bookings until further notice.
Please remember that we are all volunteers on the village hall committee, so please make enquiries before 9pm as a matter of courtesy.
Due to illness we are now very low on committee member numbers at Baschurch and really need the community to step up and show their support. We need new members as there are not enough people to assist at fund raising events and without this the village hall will close!
We DO NOT make enough money from bookings alone to cope with the maintenance required for the building.
Please let me know if you feel you can offer your assistance in this matter. It probably involves attending 6 meetings a year and 3 fund raising events so not a huge commitment for a very important building to our community.
Ignoring this request is not an option if you still want a functioning hall at Baschurch.
