Gardens open for the NGS in the next week

There are more beautiful May gardens to enjoy this coming weekend and a reminder of two new gardens to the Scheme opening mid-week.
Thanks to everyone who supported our six open gardens last weekend - and the rain held off for most of you.  I'd be most grateful if you could share this email with your friends and families.

THE GARDENERS LODGE,
2 Roseway, Wellington, TF1 1JA

There was just one tree in the garden when the current owners purchased The Gardener's Lodge, now after several years of hard work, the garden is now eclectically divided, arranged and planted into different themed areas: a tranquil and beautiful garden ideal for a Sunday visit.  Open for the first time for the National Garden Scheme on Sunday 26th May (9.30-4.30pm).
SUNNINGDALE,
9 Mill Street, Wem, SY4 5ED

Half acre town garden, a haven for plants and wildlife; rare and unusual plants, including exotic climbers; waterfall and koi pond; large perennial borders packed with plants; not to be missed.  Open on Sunday 26th May (11-4) and also By Arrangement for groups: please contact the owner for details.
WALCOT HALL
Lydbury North, Craven Arms, SY7 8AZ

Arboretum, cascades of rhododendrons and azaleas, fine specimen trees and shrubs with views across the mile long lake.  Historic estate garden complete with Russian wooden church, grotto and fountain and chapel in the woods; walled garden and colourful borders; A landscape history lesson! Open on Sunday 26th May and Monday 27th May (bank holiday) from 1.30-5.30 on each day.
BROWNHILL HOUSE
Ruyton XI Towns, Shrewsbury, SY4 1LR

Unique 2 acre hillside garden terraced down to the River Perry; many steps but lots of places to enjoy the view from the top of the garden.  Wide variety of styles and planting including large kitchen garden.  Open on Tuesday 28th May (1.30-5pm); also open By Arrangement for groups: please contact the owner for details.
GOLDSTONE HALL
Goldstone, nr Market Drayton, TF9 2NA

The first opening of the year for National Garden Scheme visitors to enjoy the magnificent herbaceous borders, roses in the walled garden and the huge productive garden in full swing at this beautiful location.  Open on Wednesday 29th May (2-5pm); also open By Arrangement for groups: please contact the owner for details.
