Beautiful Christmas gifts now on sale at Qube Starting on Monday 14th November at Qube Gallery will be the eagerly anticipated Christmas Arts and Crafts Exhibition. With over twenty five different artists and craftmakers exhibiting, the gallery will be full of gorgeous local arts, crafts and gifts for visitors to browse around and pick up some great presents. The exhibition runs until 23 December and will include ceramics, paintings, wood carvings, jewellery, decorations as well as cards and prints. There is a great selection of local art and craft on display and something to suit all tastes and budget. North Shropshire College (NSC) is pleased to announce the arrival of a new Interim Principal, Peter McCann.

New Leadership North Shropshire College (NSC) is pleased to announce the arrival of a new Interim Principal, Peter McCann who joins the College with a wealth of experience in the FE sector. Most notably, he took on a College with a grade 4 Ofsted rating and delivered a 'Good' Ofsted outcome within 18 months. During this inspection, all curriculum areas were graded 'Good' and Leadership and Management was graded 'Outstanding', this was the most rapid improvement in one inspection within the FE sector.

It is a very busy time at North Shropshire College, the autumn term has delivered successful open events and taster days thus far, an extremely positive start for student recruitment for September 2017. In addition, from January 2017, the College has a more extensive range of courses and qualifications available to apprentices, school leavers and adult learners.

The new part-time prospectus will be available at the end of November. Courses can be viewed on-line via the College website or you can reserve a copy via 01691 688000.

Taster Days a Success

Our taster days have been a huge success here at NSC. The days gave students considering the College a chance to see how certain courses suit them. Students and Tutors alike had lots of positive comments at the end of the sessions. We will definitely be considering doing a similar event next year.

Pearl of Africa Children's Choir Visit The Walford Campus

The Pearl of Africa Children's Choir has graced North Shropshire College's (NSC) Walford Campus for the second time. Pearl of Africa Child Care is a small UK charity that aims to improve the health, education and welfare of people suffering through disease, poverty and war in Uganda. The children performed a series of songs for the students and then took a tour of the College farm and animal care unit.

Over the last two days I have sent out several emails but unfortunately they have not got through.  The problem appears to be that someone`s computer has automatically sent messages to their spam box.

This has taken a lot of sorting out so, I would ask, if you do NOT want to continue on the mailing list.

Hi All

Little Ness Village Hall would like to offer a big thank you to everyone who has voted for our Aviva Grant application. Everyone has put in a lot of effort and we have been greatly impressed by the way people have helped us. The response has shown us that we have a great community in and around Little Ness.

if you hadn't already voted then it is still possible, the Poll closes at midday tomorrow and every vote counts!.

We have to November the 18th to get the votes in and they do pay an important part in the finalist selection. We need more funding to refurbish the kitchen and introduce wifi.
