Lots of Ex Servicemen NEED YOU!

West Felton, one of the XI Towns, has a very active British Legion, sadly Ruyton`s BL died a death many years ago, and Mike Johnson who organises the Poppy Collection for WF, Ruyton and the rest of the townships, is desperately looking for someone to help in Ruyton.

"Linda Hamlett who started in 1980 – 33 years this year – and has been saying ‘this is my last year’ for that past 10 years, has agreed to do it again, she does the houses over the bridge and the main road down to the church.

But she is the only person in RXIT on the list now. Margaret Lycett (route: Doctor’s Meadow) has given up, as has Judy Roe (route: from The Barns (Wykey) to Blackbow Hill to Eardiston).

Is there anyone out there who would relish a long, probably wet, cold, dark, walk in the two weeks from 26 October? For a good cause?
