Message from Elaine McKay. Planning permission has been sought for a 20 dog kennel facility, which will in fact hold 28 dogs, at Platt Mill Farm. I would just like residents to be made aware that the closing date for objecting to the application is the 2nd January. As the planning department closed for Christmas yesterday evening, all objections need to be emailed to the department before the 1st of January. As I am sure you can imagine, the residents of Peverey Close and the Quillets (Bridge Field estate) are appalled that such a business should be allowed to have planning permission as the noise level to the residents would be unacceptable. Although the Dow sisters have said that the kennels are being made with sound proof material, this has NOT been proven. Dairi Pac start work at 5.30 in the morning and we hear the lorries coming in and out, this noise will disrupt dogs being kennelled AND THEY WILL BARK. I find the whole venture unexceptable in such a beautiful quiet place so near to other people. The council have, with the residents, just started the get the field into a pleasant place for people to walk and picnic that will all go to waste as the dog run goes along the river side towards the bridge. Please would you inform residents in the area to please lodge their complaints before the 2nd of January. Elaine MCkay Bridge Field Estate
