Market’s Festive Shopping Party on December 18th
Shrewsbury’s indoor market will be buzzing with the festive spirit when it opens for a
late night shopping party on Wednesday December 18.
Entertainment includes a Christmas choir and a swinging jazz band while stallholders will serve warmed mulled wine and eateries will be offering special Christmas menus.
The market hall, which includes award-winning artisan food suppliers, traditional butchers, gift and accessory boutiques, game specialists, an ethical beauty store, an art gallery and Shrewsbury’s last independent book shop, will be open until 8pm.
The Bird’s Nest Café is holding a sit-down Christmas meal, accompanied by live jazz music, while Saint Pierre Seafood Bar will be hosting a celebration to mark the launch of a brand new website for the award-winning fishmongers Barkworth’s Seafoods.
The market will also open for extra festive shopping on Sunday December 22, from 10am to 4pm, and on Monday December 23 until 6pm. On Christmas Eve it will be open until 4pm.
