Vote for Booka Bookshop!

Message from Hazel Yates, Shotatton.

I hope that you, and most of the members of the Mailing List, are aware and make use of Oswestry's fantastic independent bookshop Booka.  They offer so much more than books with a stop for browsing their stock always accompanied by a coffee and a delicious cake.  Booka's attractive shop always has a lovely decorated window to entice you in to look at the latest published book or visiting author.  They have crowned their achievements by driving the Oswestry Literary Festival, now in its sixth year and going from strength to strength! We are so lucky to have them in our local town.

Booka need our help and I now quote their appeal from their FaceBook page for those who are not connected (to them) on FaceBook to let us know how we can help them get over the line and be crowned the UK & Ireland Indie Bookshop of 2015.

Twitter users get Tweeting!

"Chuffed to bits to have been named Midlands & Wales Independent Bookshop of the Year 2015. As one of 7 regional winners, we now go forward to the shortlist for the UK & Ireland Independent Bookshop of the Year, to be announced at the Bookseller Industry Awards in London in May - fingers crossed!

Love Booka? The public are now being asked to show their support for their favourite indie bookshop - if you like what we do and use Twitter please say why and tweet using the hashtag ‪#‎bookabia15‬ - we'd really appreciate your support."

Include Booka's Twitter name @BookaBookshop and the hashtag ‪#‎bookabia15‬.

So there you have it - not even the cost of a stamp or telephone call!  The closing date is only a week away.  What's stopping you?  Tweet away!

Best wishes

Hazel
