January


Tuesday 24th: Cooking with Game

11am-1:30pm - £49


Not for the faint-hearted! Learn to prepare and dress a pheasant and skin and cook a rabbit.

Wednesday 25th: Scottish Bread for Burns Night

11am-1:30pm - £49


On this course you will learn to make a traditional Scottish oat cake, an authentic Selkirk Bannock, and a delicious Scottish soda bread. Happy Burns night!

Tuesday 31st: Italian Classics

11am-1:30pm - £49


Learn to make the perfect risotto, arancini balls and delicious Italian Gnocchi.

February


Wednesday 1st: Indian Made Easy

6pm-8:30pm - £49


Learn to cook an authentic madras chicken curry, naan bread and pilau rice!

Friday 3rd: Knife Skills in the Kitchen

11am-12:30pm - £25

This is a short course designed to teach you the correct way to choose, hold, sharpen and use your knives in the kitchen.


Friday 3rd: Wok Cooking, the Chinese Way

1:30pm-4pm - £49


To celebrate the Chinese New Year of the Rooster, this course will teach you how to prepare and cook authentic Chinese dishes in no time at all.

Tuesday 7th: The Art of Pasta Making

11am-1:30pm - £49


Make your own fresh-filled pasta and delicious filled ravioli with a traditional "sugo al Pomodoro" (tomato sauce).

Saturday 11th: Middle-Eastern Delight

11am-1:30pm - £49


On this course you will learn to make traditional foods, or meze, from the middle-east such as humous, baba ganoush, falafel and pita. Suitable for vegetarians.

Tuesday 14th: Retro Romance on Valentine's Day

11am-1:30pm - £49


Impress your loved one for supper when you have learned how to make a delicious retro meal of prawn cocktail, home-made chicken Kiev and crepe suzette!

Wednesday 15th: Breads from Around the World

6pm-8:30pm - £49


On this course you will learn to make an Italian focaccia, a Mediterranean flat bread and an Irish soda bread.

Tuesday 21st: Authentic Spanish Tapas

11am-1:30pm - £49


Learn to make classic tapas dishes, from albondigas (Spanish meatballs) and tortilla espanola (a Spanish omelette) to chorizo and thyme bread rolls.

Wednesday 22nd: Junior Chef in the Kitchen: Bread

11am-1pm - £25


A course for all budding young chefs to learn to make their own bread and pizza base.

Friday 24th: Junior Chef in the Kitchen: Pancakes

11am-1pm - £25


This is a course for young chefs to learn to make the perfect pancakes, American & British – just in time for Pancake Day!

Tuesday 28th: Pancakes, Sweet and Savoury

11am-1:30pm - £49


On this course, learn to make perfect pancakes, delicious on their own with sugar and lemon juice or made into crepe suzettes. You will also make savoury cheese-filled buckwheat pancakes, fantastic as a starter or as a vegetarian main meal.

March


Wednesday 1st: Thai Cooking Demo

On this demo you will learn to prepare and cook your own dishes from Thailand using authentic Thai herbs and spices.

Tuesday 7th: The Art of Pasta Making

Saturday 11th: Demonstration of Moroccan Cooking

Join us in the kitchen to discover the flavours of a Moroccan feast. We will show you how to prepare cous-cous by hand, make a tagine and a Moroccan bread and taste various salads from the region of Marakesh.

Tuesday 14th: Introduction to Classical Italian

11am-1:30pm - £49


Learn the secrets to making the perfect risotto with caprese salad and make an authentic Italian focaccia with rosemary and sun-dried tomatoes.

Wednesday 15th: Bread from Around the World

6pm-8:30pm - £49


On this hands-on course you will learn to make an Italian focaccia, a Cypriot Lavroche and a Moroccan flatbread.

Tuesday 21st: Filleting and Cooking Fish

11am-1:30pm - £49


This course will teach you to gut, scale, fillet and cook a locally-caught round fish and a flat fish, fresh from the seas around Britain.

Wednesday 22nd: Perfect Pastry

6pm-8:30pm - £49


Make the pastry and filling for a deliciously creamy chicken, leek and mushroom pie, and a sweet pastry case for an amazing rhubarb and custard tart!

Saturday 25th: A Lunchtime Trip Across the Med! (Demo)

11:30am-2:30pm - £20


Join us for lunch in the kitchen as we take you on a culinary journey across the Mediterranean. Enjoy a Spanish tapas starter, move to Italy for lunch and sample a delicious risotto and Caprese salad, then finish in France where desert is served as we show you how to make the perfect Tarte Tatin.
(As you will be eating all of the above dishes, please advise us of any food allergies).
