Love Is In The Air!

What: Valentine's Weekend
When: Saturday 
11th & Sunday 12th February
Where: British Ironwork Centre, SY11 4JH

It's hotting up in the Forge this Valentine's weekend... Why not book you and your lover in for a mini Blacksmith Workshop where you can get really hot under the collar whilst working together to create your very own love hook. Something special to mark the occasion and last for years to come - who needs roses when you can have coal!
 
Throughout the weekend we will fill the showroom with sensual vibes from our live performers to encourage love in the air. Why not cosy on down to a delicious Valentine's lunch, where you can try our strawberries, blueberries and clotted cream love nests.
 
Love potions
Come try some delicious teas with our very own Fi-fi, who will demonstrate the art of a Tea Ceremony, she will talk through all the benefits of the leaves and ingredients, which is sure to get your heart racing!


What: Scavenger Hunt (suitable for all ages)
When:
11th - 24th February 2017
Where: British Ironwork Centre, SY11 4JH

Calling all explorers! Join us this February half term for our brand new 'Scavenger Hunt', do you have what it takes to enter the trail? You will have to hunt far and wide, scouring the grounds of the British Ironwork Centre to discover hidden treasures amongst our giant safari, beautiful sculptures and exotic zoo. Discovering all of the hidden treasures will win you a special prize and certificate. 

All explorers are to report directly to our Head Explorers in our showroom to begin their adventure. Simply book a date and arrive at any time throughout the day, suitable for all ages.
Advanced booking advised, £3 per child.

What: Cycle For Life
When: Sunday 19th February
Where: British Ironwork Centre, SY11 4JH


On Sunday 19th February we are very excited to be hosting the Cycle for Life Charity Event, in aid of Hope House, Children's Hospice.
 
The day will consist of a whole host of activities, such as the great 'Cycle for Life Race', which will see cycling enthusiasts pedalling around the site in pursuit of the gold, silver and bronze awards. Races will take place at 11am, 2pm and 3pm. Be sure to be raring to go at the starting line which will be marked with a red ribbon.

There will also be a competition throughout for the 'Best Bike Dressage Award', children entering the competition should come donning their bikes with their finest bells, ribbons and whistles, the most finely decorated bicycle will be crowned 'Best Bike Dressage Gold Award' with the Silver and Bronze awards hot on their tails.

We are also excited to announce that Hafren Cycling Club will be joining us for the morning to begin proceedings and ensure the event raises as much as possible for the fabulous Hope House Hospice.

Our BIC team will be working up a sweat throughout the day raising as much money as possible for the hospice by partaking in a continuous bike relay. Come and cheer them on in the showroom or bring your favourite two wheeled steed and join them on a few laps of the 1/2 mile loop around the grounds!
Free entry, registration essential. Donations to Hope House Hospice appreciated.

What: Spring Members Only Extravaganza Evening
When:
Saturday 4th March 2017

Here at the British Ironwork Centre, we will be truly dusting off those winter blues with our Spring Members Extravaganza. Come and join us for beautiful spring flower demonstrations, children's flower crafts and have a peak at our little fluffy chicks.  Throughout the showrooms, there will be fabulous spring offers exclusive to our members. With our garden range in full bloom, it's a very exciting time to be green fingered!

What: Midlands Breakfast Club
When: Sunday 5th March 9am - 12pm
Where: British Ironwork Centre, SY11 4JH


Next month the Midlands Breakfast Club will be making a spectacular return to the British Ironwork Centre. The last meet held in December saw a beautiful Lola T70 in all its roaring 7 litre glory take the Classic Car Trophy as forged by our resident Blacksmith Paul.

Join us for a breakfast BBQ and fawn over the retro, sports, performance and classic cars that will be lining the grounds!

Join us on a fun and magical journey across the world on selected dates between the 4th and 26th February. You'll meet an array of amazing animals, with Zoosbury's own wacky Professors in our half term educational animal show.

Come dressed as either Scientists or Wizards to add to the magical fun!

Animals appearing in the show include reptiles, bugs, spiders, exotic mammals and creepy crawlies - a great show for all ages!

Tickets are just £4 each and each show lasts for an hour.

Please note that tickets are non refundable and non transferable.


Discover your hidden talents as a Blacksmith by taking part in our free mini workshop. Have the opportunity to work in the Forge with our resident Blacksmith, each session lasting for twenty minutes.

The next mini workshop will be held between 09:20 and 15.40 and is sure to be another roaring success!
