Gardens open for the NGS this week

Please note all the charities listed at the bottom of the page which are  helped by the money we raise by opening our gardens.

Summer Sunshine in a
Shropshire garden
Thank you to everyone who supported our open gardens over the last two weekends: we had a tremendous number of visitors and our fund-raising for our charities is going very well this year, so thank you all for your ongoing support.  There are three more lovely Shropshire gardens to enjoy in the coming week.

MERTON
Shepherds Lane, Bicton, Shrewsbury, SY3 8BT

Opening for the first time for the National Garden Scheme on Sunday 28th July  (1-5pm), this mature, botanical garden has a very rich collection of unusual trees and shrubs from around the world, coupled with delightfully planted herbaceous borders and a renowned collection of hostas .  The woodand garden also has ponds and stunning gunnera.  Also open for groups By Arrangement until the end of September: Contact David & Jessica Pannett: jessicapannett@hotmail.co.uk
DELBURY HALL WALLED GARDEN
Mill Lane, Diddlebury, Craven Arms, SY7 9DH

Open on Sunday 28th July (11-5) this 2 acre early Victorian walled garden and nursery is at the height of its summer beauty with glorious herbaceous borders, with many of the plants on show available to buy.  Deep, well planted, colourful borders complemented by very old fruit trees and vines. NGS visitors will also be able to visit the grounds of Delbury Hall with its summer borders and lake.
GOLDSTONE HALL GARDENS
Goldstone, Market Drayton, TF9 2NA

Open on Tuesday 30th July (2-5).  If you haven't seen the double herbaceous border at Goldstone Hall yet, then you are in for a treat!  Sublime planting, just stunning to see.  The huge productive garden is in full swing and the herb and rose borders are magnificent.  This is a wonderful garden to visit for a mid-week treat.  Also open By Arrangement for groups until the end of September: contact: enquiries@goldstonehall.com
