Contributing to nature & the community

Dear Blogger

Message from David Shearan, Community Volunteer.

Here is an opportunity to do something good for nature and our community.

Come and join us at the Bridge Field, Platt Bridge at any time between 2pm and 5pm on Monday 21 August. We will be raking the wildflower area to remove the cuttings from a recent mowing so please bring strong footwear, gloves and a lawn rake (if you have one).

It will be good physical activity, a great social occasion, and a chance to see how the area has progressed since the original plan was drawn up by Alison Curran and the work done in January 2021 to plant the new copse of trees.

Turn up at any time on the day. It would be good to get some idea of numbers so please reply by email to dave.shearan@icloud.com

The photos here are from the tree planting in 2022. Perhaps you were one of those original volunteers?

Best wishes

David
