In the latest of the Flaxmill Fridays, Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings are inviting everyone to join the launch of LovelyLand's 'Nature Connections' exhibition in The Dye House, free of charge.

On the evening you can join free workshops that are launching the exhibition. Turned Wood Café will be providing a special evening menu of vegetarian and plant-based hot food, small plates and a full drinks menu, including alcoholic beverages from 5pm.

There will be free music from Top Bananas - a group which features local storyteller, Jake Evans - from 7pm until 9pm in the café, and The Mill exhibition will be free to visit on the evening, open from 7pm.

Nature Connections

A free exhibition in The Dye House from social enterprise LovelyLand; Nature Connections showcases artwork from LovelyLand's 2022/23 support programme. Various techniques will be displayed including crochet, mosaic, felting and yarn bombing.

Featuring in the exhibition is the Castlefields Yarn Bombers project - Mini Castlefields. Mini-Castlefields is a model of Castlefields made with yarn, textile and model-making. The model is a result of a project that has taken an in depth look at a small section of Castlefields, highlighting important landmarks within this community, including Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings itself!
