Walking with Offa

Message forwarded by Pam Johnson.

As part of the ‘Walking with Offa’ project, which is promoting the Wales-England borderlands to walkers and visitors across the UK, we are looking for businesses/events/activities that we can promote in the media in the lead up to Christmas to draw attention to the area for our campaign. Coined ‘Become an Offa Shoppa’, this part of our campaign aims to highlight the importance of visiting the area and shopping locally over the next few months for your Christmas gifts and services.

We want to go to the media with a host of quirky, festive things to encourage them to visit and write about the area. We’d love to hear from you about what you can offer at Christmas, what makes your organisation/business different and out of the ordinary in the region? All suggestions will be gratefully received, although obviously we cannot guarantee that they will be picked up by the media.

Please visit our Facebook and Twitter accounts for an idea of what we do and what sort of information we’re looking for. If you’d like us to share your news/events on these pages, please email irresistible-offa@quadrant.co who is managing the content for our social media. We’d also appreciate it if you could ‘like’ and follow us and share our pages with your own followers. We aim to upload as much information as we can.

If you have any questions about the campaign, please call the Walking with Offa communications agency Quadrant on 02920 694900 and ask for Beth or Jo, or email irresistible-offa@quadrant.co
