Market Festive Late Opening on December 17
Shrewsbury Market Hall will open for a festive evening of shopping, live music, art, food and entertainment on Wednesday December 17.
Gifts stalls and eateries will open late and shoppers will receive complimentary mince pies and mulled wine.
The Bird’s Nest Café will host live music and a sit down dinner from 6pm until until 10pm and Spanish tapas eatery Café AleOli and Thai street-food style café Mayuree’s House of Yum will also be open late to diners.
Visitors will get the chance to design their own snowflake to be added to digital artist Andy McKeown’s snowstorm illumination on the exterior of the Market Hall and there will be further entertainment for children.
There will also be another chance for the public to see an exhibition of entries to the Big Market Art-Off ‘Christmas in Shrewsbury’ Competition which was won by Coleham Primary School.
The market will be open for additional shopping days on Sunday December 21 and Monday December 22 and will stay open until 4pm on Christmas Eve for shoppers to pick up last-minute gifts and fresh food for the festive table.
