RATS needs your support!

Ruyton's AmDram group, RATS is already working hard on this year's pantomime, Pinocchio. 

We have seen a flurry of new members this year, which is exciting, both for now and the future and we look forward to bringing a happy, fun packed pantomime to the stage in early December.

However before then we have a bit of a battle on our hands, as our elderly lighting equipment has finally shone its last beam and is no longer repairable. We find ourselves needing around £1500 in order to buy the modern equivalent of the equipment that has served us so well for over 20 years and which has been patched up more times than we can remember! Lighting is a key element of any production and we all, cast and audience, would get a reduced experience without it. RATS is a not for profit community group, open to anyone, cheap to join and whilst we have some funds, would struggle to keep going with this sort of dent in the finances. 

So RATS is fund raising and on Saturday October 17th and in aid of our cause, we will be hosting a 'Games Night' in Ruyton village hall. Games will include a Beetle Drive (or possibly Rat Drive!)  Irish Bingo and other table games - nothing too energetic! Anyone is invited to enter a team; as with the village quiz, families will be welcome, come with friends- or come along and  team up with someone up with on the night. You are welcome to bring your own refreshments but some complimentary refreshments will be provided and hot and cold drinks for sale. There will be prizes and a raffle.
