Exhibition Preview Evening

You are cordially invited to the opening of our next exhibition featuring work by Kay Boyce, The Batik Guild & various local artists on: Friday 25th September, 7pm.

All are welcome to the preview evening, the full exhibition will run between Saturday 26th September – Saturday 24th October.
Kay Boyce will be exhibiting a selection of drawings, pastels and prints with the introduction of the new limited edition print `Sleeping Beauty`.

"I am looking forward to the opportunity of exhibiting again at the Willow Gallery, to show images of still life and also my known work of female figures. The images again will be mostly of the female form but having worked with a new model who is a professional dancer perhaps there will be a different feel to them. There will be mostly drawings, sepia and pencil work and a varied selection of limited edition prints, and perhaps even a drawing of a tree!
I have had a busy time since showing my work last at the Willow Gallery which has taken me to exhibiting in America and regularly in London and of course permanently with Haynes Fine Art in the Cotswolds. I love to draw and paint especially different fabrics added to the grace of the female form and hope you will come and enjoy them too."

Upcoming Live Music Events
Tickets can be booked in advance in person, over the phone or online through our website. The Willow Eatery will have a licensed bar open each music evening and will be serving meals before the event, see below for further details.

Faith Brackenbury & John Neilson
Saturday 17th October, 8:00pm (doors open 7:00pm)
Tickets £8

Faith Brackenbury and John Neilson have played together since 2013. Their concerts include original instrumental music on fiddle, piano and accordion, leavened with shorter pieces reflecting their background in traditional music, and the occasional song.
Faith (fiddle, viola, piano) played classical violin as a child but was soon drawn into fo
lk music, then jazz, which she went on to study at Brunel University and Birmingham Conservatoire. She plays in several combos and also composes. Her playing with John draws on the many strands of her musical background.
John (accordion, piano, bouzouki, voice) is mostly known as an accordionist and writer of tunes, having co-founded various outfits over the years including Manticore, Francisco the Man and Bosco, who all did their own thing with traditional music. Playing with Faith gives free rein to his liking for less conventional stuff, and allows him more scope on the piano.
'I love contemporary classical music, folk traditions and improvising. You brought all this together: it was a wonderful surprise.'  Wilf Thust

The Sarah Smith Trio

Gypsy Jazz of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli, Celtic Airs, and standards from The Great American Songbook and more. One of the most exciting young Violinists playing on the Jazz scene today. Sarah Smith with Tim Smith on guitar and Oli Smith on bass. A night of superlative and varied music.
"Sarah Smith is one of the greatest violinists' I have ever played with. Her tone is rich and warm and she can swing hard. Not only is Sarah gorgeous but she is extremely engaging with her audience and has great stage presence. I would recommend her to any presenter." Frank Vignola.
