Clash of the Titans: Sunday 27th September
Contenders are you ready?!
We're now just over a week away from our inaugural Clash of the Titans battle. This year is set to be bigger than ever with over 13 local teams competing for the crown. A truly challenging physical (and occasionally comical) event for the entire family, all spectators should arrive in time for the first head to head at 10am- entry is free.

If you have a team wanting to test their metal but still haven't enrolled there is still time using the link below (don't forget the complementary food and beer for all team members).

Knife Angel Sneak Preview Pic
100,000 dangerous weapons, all of the UK's Police Constabularies, the families affected and a single sculptor, are the ingredients required to make the national monument symbolising the country's unified stance against knife crime and aggression.

We wanted to thank everyone for their overwhelming support so far in creating this, the first monument of its kind, so here is a sneak preview of the sculpture's hands, shot along side sculptor Alfie. If anyone would like to dispose of a dangerous knife and have it included within the national monument, it would be very welcome.  A secure donation bank is located at the Centre's entrance.  (Photo courtesy of Shropshire Star)

British Ironworks in Africa
Clive Knowles our chairman and Terry Waite recently journeyed to Africa visiting many Y Care & YMCA projects, seeing first hand the incredible sculptures being made from scrap materials like oil drums, paint tins and brake discs.
They are immensely excited to be now working with these talented artists, as mentors providing support and encouragement to help these small businesses flourish.

A Big Thank You!
We wanted to extend a huge thank you to all of our kind visitors who have taken the time to leave us a review on Trip Advisor.
Thanks to you and your support as a tourist attraction we are now ranked 1st in Oswestry and 3rd in Shropshire & we couldn't be more thrilled.

Our next members event: An Afternoon with Terry Waite
Friday 25th September we are thrilled to be welcoming humanitarian and author Terry Waite to the Centre. Throughout the afternoon Terry will be here to meet our members and will be discussing new projects, along with his latest book. Terry has made an incredible contribution to the world, being involved with many charities including Y Care, YMCA, Hostage UK, Emmaus UK and the Llangollen Eisteddfod music festival, amongst others.
