Road Closure - NO NO NO!

There is a water leak just down from Brownhill House.  A Severn Trent wagon complete with digger on a trailer, was parked on the side of the road for ages and ages on Friday, apparently waiting for traffic lights before they could start work.

No lights came and the Severn Trent blokes finally left after a restful day in their cab.

A pity they did not get out and take away their signs and cones.

Message from Colin Case.

Many villagers will have noticed that Brownhill is apparently subject to a Road Closure from Mill Lane to the Village Hall.
It is not at all clear why this is.
Neither Shropshire Council nor Severn Trent even knew that it was closed - let alone why.
We might assume it is because of the water leak breaking the road surface between Mill Lane and Yoland's B&B - but this is not confirmed.
The road appears safe for cars - but heavier vehicles might pose higher risk if there is a cavity under the road.
Please do not allow it to stop you getting to tomorrow's Home Grown Show - but be careful.
