Go down to the cellars and up into the roof spaces and explore some of the preserved plasterwork at Chirk Castle! The places we don't get to go. That's what fascinates many of us. If you want to go where others cannot, come along with Kathy Laws to Chirk Castle- and explore the dark cellars and the lofty roof spaces of the castle. Have you ever been to a Lime Kiln? The Hoffman Kiln at Llanymynech represents the best preserved example of its type in England. Guided walks will be available around the 19th Century Limeworks , including the iconic Hoffmann kiln. This is one of only 3 left in the country and the only one to still have its chimney. Lime-slaking demonstrations by the Stables every half –hour from 1.30pm. | | |
