The Croft, Ash Magna, nr Whitchurch open every Tuesday throughout the summer for the National Gardens Scheme in Shropshire This enjoyable, family-friendly garden is open this coming Tuesday - 14th June (1-5pm) - and every Tuesday throughout the summer until the 23rd August.
A wonderful green space for children of all ages - and the young at heart - to enjoy the lovely plants buzzing with bees and butterflies, vegetable garden, four-legged lawn mowers of different shapes and sizes, chickens, strange things lurking in the pond and a hidden surprise in the woods! Children will love it - and, as with many other NGS gardens, entrance is free for under 16s. Adult entry is £3; homemade teas available; all proceeds go to NGS charities. Visitors to NGS gardens will have the pleasure of knowing that their entrance fee is supporting many vital cancer and nursing charities, including Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospices UK and the Carers Trust. The Scheme also supports Parkinson's UK and, for the first time this year, the MS Society. Earlier this year, the National Gardens Scheme gave £2.73 to the charities it supports from monies raised in 2015.
