WILFRED OWEN, the First World War Poet, was born in Oswestry and moved to Shrewsbury when he was 4 years old and grew up and was educated in the county town.
Oswestry has always taken Wilfred Owento its heart and hence the Festival.
Yesterday I sent out information about the launch of the Festival, now here is the first of the commemoration events to be held in Oswestry.
