Gardens open this weekend & into the autumn

Many Shropshire gardens to enjoy as we go into Autumn
There are still many lovely Shropshire gardens to enjoy as part of the National Garden Scheme, all with plenty to see and admire in their late summer/Autumn colours, and all, of course, raising money for our nursing and caring charities.

SUNDAY 30th AUGUST: 
 SAMBROOK MANOR,  Sambrook, nr Newport (just off the A41).  This beautifully planted, elegant garden is a delight of late summer colour with its deep borders, Oriental garden and pretty pond and rill, it is a lovely place to visit on a summer's day.  No refreshments are available but visitors are welcome to take a picnic and enjoy it in the arboretum overlooking the brook.

Windy Ridge open on Sat 5th & Sun 6th September

WINDY RIDGE, at Little Wenlock, nr Telford, will be open for the first and only time for the National Garden Scheme this year, over the weekend of 5th and 6th September.  This special garden incorporates clever design and planting to create one of the best gardens in the county, so don't miss this opportunity to visit this lovely place.  Refreshments are not available at the garden but The Huntsman Pub in the village is open (it is advisable to make a booking: 01952 503300)

The National Garden Scheme raises money for caring and nursing charities including Macmillan, Marie Curie, Hospice UK, Parkinson's UK, The Queens Nursing Institute, Horatio's Garden, Maggie's Centres, The Carers' Trust and MIND, the mental health charity.  The National Garden Scheme also supports gardening apprenticeships and community garden schemes
