75th Anniversary of VJ Day (Victory in Japan)
15th August
Victory over Japan Day (VJ Day) marks the day Japan surrendered on the 15 August 1945, which in effect ended the Second World War.
As with VE Day, the Lych Gate and Church have been decorated with the knitted poppies and a flag.
With thanks again to Jill and Steve Owen for erecting them, Irena White, Mary Lacey for the photos and all the knitters of the poppies.
