Message from Pam Johnson, LADS.
There is still time to buy tickets for The Accrington Pals staged by The LADS next week.
The Accrington Pals, written by Peter Whelan and directed by Alison Utting, follows the lives of the women left behind when the 'Pals' go to war and the young men that have set off with excitement and expectation of glory, only to suffer enormous losses on the first day of the Battle of the Somme. A powerful and moving play full of down to earth characters, laughter and warmth which explores social change, women's independence and a mistrust of propaganda.
The Accrington Pals 16th & 17th November at Llanymynech Village Hall, 19th & 20th at Ellesmere College Arts Centre.
Start at 7.45pm. Tickets are available via the LADS' website www.ladstheatre.co.uk, from Llanymynech village shop, Rowanthorn in Chapel Court, Oswestry, or by phone 01691 830558
