I am sending this message again as the attached picture of the war memorial showing 1914 - 1919 was a very large file, which I have now reduced.
If anyone is wondering why our memorial has the dates 1914 - 1919 carved above it, it is because although the fighting stopped on 11th day of the 11th month 2018 - The Treaty of Versailles, the most important of the peace treaties that ended the state of war between Germany and the Allied Powers, was actually signed on 28 June 1919 in Versailles.
