Halloween & lots more going on at the British Ironworks

Message from The British Ironworks.

October may bring crisp days and cool early nights but here at the British Ironwork Centre, it's also full of mellow warmth and the red and gold hues of Autumn. We're filling the shorter days with fun, action and events so that you won't even notice those heady summer days ebbing slowly away.

Free Trick Or Treat Spooktacular- Oct 30th
This Halloween join us for our annual free entry ghoul-fest and bring along your little monsters from 10am for face-painting, fiendish fun, ghastly treats and the chance to win a prize for the scariest original costume.

For all those arachnophobes be warned, we have one larger than life spider visiting! Think Aragog from Harry Potter but much, much bigger!

Introducing Sam Smith!

Sam the Silversmith, that is! Sam is the newest member of our team of artists and is going to wow us - and you - with some beautiful, intricate pieces of jewellery and stunning commissions. Find elegant inspiration for Christmas presents and special gifts for your family and friends. Don't forget to visit Sam's studio next time you're at the centre and see him in action.

Born with a Silver Spoon in his mouth...
...and everywhere else it seems! Our incredible spoon gorilla is continuing his tour and will soon be migrating to the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford, having spent the summer at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, greeting visitors and raising some very welcome donations for the hospital.

We're also hoping to bring our spoontastic friend home for Christmas depending on time constraints, for some rest, relaxation and some winter maintenance

Golden Eagle joins the Falconry Family
We're absolutely delighted to welcome the magnificent golden eagle, Isla, to our falconry family. Head Falconer Andy will be dedicating a lot of his time training Isla, teaching her to fly from perch to glove before she is included in our aerial displays.
Watching a golden eagle soar is an awe-inspiring sight and we cannot wait to see Isla fly.

Art Exhibition: Dragon Sculpture
Each month we'll be giving you a first peek at some of our latest exhibitions and this month we have something not to be missed.

Larger than life our latest addition to the sculpture park is an amazing example of art in metal. The dragon sculpture was photographed in all it's majestic beauty in our new education and art area, now open.

'Tis the Season to be Jolly!
This year we're looking forward to sharing a little Christmas magic by bringing you an even bigger and better festive experience.

Father Christmas will be joining us in our ice cave along with his elves on selected dates. With special seasonal treats to be had, not to mention a very special gift and perhaps even a surprise visit from Mrs Claus, our grotto adventure is one not to be missed!

Tickets for the event can be purchased for £5 each from our showroom or online here.  Please note, tickets are limited and issued on a first-come, first-served basis so please be quick to avoid disappointment!
