The front lawn flanked by striking borders, extends to a gravel, art garden and ha-ha. Clematis and roses scramble through an eclectic collection of wrought-iron work, unique pottery and secluded seating. A stunning horse pond features primulas, iris and bog plants. Lots of lovely shrubs & trees to see.  Plants and Jigsaws for sale on the day, via honesty box.  Toilet available but sadly not refreshments, but you are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the field; plenty of parking and space.  One-way route around the garden.

WOLLERTON OLD HALL
Sadly, one of Shropshire's, if not the nation's, favourite gardens - Wollerton Old Hall near Market Drayton - will be unable to open for the National Garden Scheme this year.
The good news is that Wollerton Old Hall's Gardens have been shortlisted for the Historic Houses Association's Garden of the Year award.  The winner is decided by public vote, so if you love Wollerton as much as I do, please vote for them here:  www.historichouses.org/goya2020.html

If you are unable to visit a National Garden Scheme garden at the moment but would like to support our Support Our Nurses campaign, you can now donate via text - details above.
Alternatively, you can donate via the National Garden Scheme website at https://ngs.org.uk/help-support-our-nurses.  Shropshire also has its own Just Giving page where you can donate - all monies raised here go directly to NGS main funds and you don't need to make any donation to Just Giving:  https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/shropshirengs
Our on-line shop is still open!
There are some great things for sale including this rather fetching tea towel, aprons, bags and books - I would not be without my NGS notebook when I visit a garden!  You can also still purchase this year's "Yellow Book".

The National Garden Scheme raises money for caring and nursing charities including Macmillan, Marie Curie, Hospices UK, Parkinson's UK, The Queens Nursing Institute, Horatio's Garden, Maggie's Centres, The Carers' Trust and MIND, the mental health charity.  The National Garden Scheme also supports gardening apprenticeships and community garden schemes
